AS showing up as Chinese characters?

So, this morning I opened up a flash file i was working with yesterday only to find out that all the script i had written had been converted to Chinese characters in the AS panel!
Im very scared that this is permanent :(
Has anyone encountered this problem? If so, could you please help me!?

I think thats a system fault, I have little knowledge of macs but maybe the control panel and uninstall then install the font you are using for AS.

post a picture...i REALLY doubt code would turn up in CHINESE..
GO TO
EDIT --> Preferences --> ActionScript
and make sure your AS font is not under a chinese font, change it to Verdana, and it should be okay.

So, I've tried switching the font and I've tried this file on multiple machines - still no luck. Ive even tried to dump all this chinese into babelfish to get at least some of my code back - still no dice :/
Any other ideas?

Sorry, just realized that the fla is tiny. It is now attached so you can all see what i mean.

Sorry for the brief delay, I have been out of the office and didnt think i had the file, but it turns out i have a copy of it here at home.

The tricky part is, its only showing up as chinese on frame 2, the AS in frame 1 seems to be fine :?
I have attached screen shots of both so you can see what i mean.

Any ideas? :(

thanks for the hint, I tried changing it from Monaco to Helvetica and I still get the jumbled text :/

Hire a translator. I'm sorry but I have no idea :).

Anyone try to open the fla? Did you get the same results?

I've started to recode the stuff just in case (its due today), but if anyone can open it without the chinese problem, it would be great if you could pm the code to me - i will be forever in your debt. Or...feel free to post it, i can take the heat for my sloppy code :D

If you are using PC try checking in the control panel (Regional and Language setting).

Try changing the font.

Edit>Preferences
