I don't see a listing for a Dynex 32" Plasma on Dynex's site - just 32" LCDs. But you can check for yourself. Go to dynexproducts.com. At the bottom left you'll see a link for "Universal Remote Codes" - click it. Use the menus to select the right TV model, remote type, remote service provider and remote model. I checked for their 42" Plasma and the code it provided was the same for my 42" LCD: 10463. So I'm thinking that'd work for yours too.

So on your DirecTV remote:
1) move the mode switch at the top all the way to the right to the "TV" mode;
2) hold the mute and select buttons down at the same time until the LED light for the TV mode switch blinks twice;
3) enter 10463 on the keypad - the LED should blink again;
4) move mode switch back to DirecTV and try it.
