i took my car to wal-mart for a oil change and one of the guys that works there said that my car was leaking oil from the main seal and the oil pan gasket... i know where the oil pan gasket is but the main seal is new to me.. can anyone help?..well thats a bummermost likely not leaking from either of those. probably either valve cover gasket or on of the seals under the timing cover.
leaks from the top down and they just look at where the oil ends up.
v/c not bad, not too pricey. seals under t-cover much more difficult, much more expensive. The main seal (typically, I'm used to american engines) is usually the seal for the crank shaft, where the transmission connects to the engine.#If you have any other info about this subject , Please add it free.# |
