Painting my bedroom with special effects?! help please :)?

  • i am moving to my new home and decided to paint one side of my bedroom wall myself
i have decided to splash thick blobs randomly on the wall in different colours so the paint would run down the wall to create an awesome effect
do you think this is a good idea?
but the main question is, is proper wall paint runny enough to run down the wall or is it too thick and will stay as a thick blob forever?

ps. the wall would be white and the thick blobs running down the wall would be in different colours ie. pastel pink and mint green and baby blue?

  • Its good to know someone out there is creative! Depending on the paint you use and the weight of the paint will depend on if it runs down the walls, but usually it will. Its best to ask the person who sells you your paint, or maybe do a test against a piece of cardboard. Anyway, I like your idea, It sounds cool! Hope this helps!

  • Most standard house paint will run. If you really want fun, cover the floor and surrounding walls, full water balloons with paint and through hard! This will mak it more random too.

Easiest way to fill balloons is to fill a water bottle with the paint and put the ballon over the sipper and squeeze, this way it has the push to fill the balloon with enough paint to stretch the balloon so it will pop on impact.
