Until science can provide men with something similar, wouldn't it be a waste to spend money on expanding the life expectancy of men to something similar to woman's? There are various genetic reasons why women outlive men, one is due to iron build-up. Wow sorry i'm really not sure, but it would be very interesting to know why we do :)Hmmm. Interesting. Did you know that during the Roman era, men would periodically have their blood recycled, so to speak. Back then, they called it blood-letting. Out with the old and in with the new. Read that, or heard it somewhere. Doesn't sound too proposterous. In reality, at least from my experience, women seem to take better care of themselves than men do. Could be that they are just more aware of health issues. Perhaps, the word is more concerned, with them. Especially, mothers. Since we are the common denominators within family structures. As well as nurturers. Dang, we women wear lots of hats, eh.could also be that the nagging provides an immunity boost. How can you think that it would be a waste of money to expand the life of men to that of women? That's like saying that it would be a waste of money to spend on a woman's education? Does it not sound sexist.
Women-
Have estrogen
Take on far less dangerous jobs than men
Go to the doctor more often than men
Smoke less,drink less
Men- Take on almost all the dangerous jobs out their
- Don't go to doctor as often
-have a higher suicide rate
- Have more stress related jobs
Menstrual cycle - nope. Although the oestrogen does protect a woman's heart until after menopause.
Other factors include:
Women tend to look after the children, children get sick and women tend to then check out health issues and have health checks performed such as Pap Smears which picks stuff up earlier and in more treatable stages whereas men tend to ignore health issues until it's too late.
Women smoke and drink less.
Testosterone is linked to increased violence and "*********" for want of a better word. Men are more likely to die violent deaths such as murders and also at their own hands such as car accidents. (Odd statistic, women have more car accidents but men have more serious & deadly accidents)
no they live shorter cos period make us sad..and feels pain.....women have the hormone estrogen which protects their heart till menopause. Being of the male gender is a cardiac risk factor in itself in men in their forties. But once the protective effects of estrogen wear out after menopause, women age fast and in fact have a higher mortality rate specially if they indulge in any of the unhealthy practices like smoking , drinking etcWomen lived longer because they played safe.
This is not the case any more; the statistics will change.Women outlive men only by a few years now, not by decades like in the past. Besides, women don't outlive men all of the time. My maternal grandfather was over 10 years older than my grandmother and they died the same year. My paternal grandmother was also 10 years younger than my paternal grandfather, and she died a few years ago, so he outlived her despite the age difference and despite statistics that implied she would outlive him.I thought it was because of something in their bones.
Don't women have a more developed skeletal system for child birth? Well, I don't know much about this.
I remember watching some documentary on it.#If you have any other info about this subject , Please add it free.# |
